It all started with a trip, at the end of August 2018. It was supposed to be just another vacation trip, but the events that followed set in motion a set of forces and energies, something much
bigger than me, who was in the height, far beyond what was tangible. i quickly realized that this trip was, above ll, interior.
A journey of discovery, sometime of confrontations, other times of
encounters.And so a new creative cycle began.
The idea of recording a solo violin record had already come up several times, but the timing never seemed right.It was on the violin
that I did great part of my training, and with the violin I started my
career as a musician, at the time in orchestra.The very strong historical and cultural tradition of the violin, gave a strong respect and a certain caution to this idea.
But ideas mature and take shape, and the right time to realize them alway comes.In an artistic residency held in December, ideas were taking shape, composition were emerging.
The experience of the journey made and the whole succession of
interior events triggered, began to materialize in a series of compositions deeply linked to a solitary state of introspection, awareness of mental processes of transformation deconstruction
and reorganization of the being.I realized that this would be an
autobiographical record, whose essence is thought itself.
Partita for solo violin is my contribution to contemporary music, to
writing music for violin, to the new generations.

A ideia de gravar um disco para violino solo já várias vezes tinha surgido, mas o tempo
nunca parecia o certo. Foi no violino que fiz grande parte da minha formação, e com o
violino iniciei a minha carreira como músico, na altura em orquestra. A fortíssima
tradição histórica e cultural do violino, imprimia um forte respeito e uma certa cautela a
esta ideia. Mas as ideias amadurecem e ganham forma, e o tempo certo para as
concretizar sempre chega.
